Arrive Colombo, on to Beruwala
- Arrival — met at Bandaranaike International Airport and driven south along the coast, with lunch on the way.
- Beruwala — the seaside town where Sri Lanka’s Moor community began, settled by Arab traders a thousand years ago.
- Naleemiah Institute of Islamic Studies — the island’s first Islamic university, founded in 1973.
- The beach — the rest of the afternoon is yours. Maghrib by the sea, then dinner.
- Overnight in Beruwala.
Beruwala — Galle — Beruwala
- Masjid Al Abrar — the oldest mosque in Sri Lanka, standing above the harbour in the heart of the old settlement.
- Meetiyagoda gem mines — walk down into a working mine and see how rough stone becomes a cut gem.
- Galle Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage site of Dutch colonial streets, old mosques and ramparts above the sea. Best seen on foot.
- Tuk-tuk and stilt fishermen — through the lanes of the old town, then the coast at dusk.
- Overnight in Beruwala.
Beruwala — Colombo
- The coastal train — north towards Colombo, the Indian Ocean along your window the whole way.
- Shopping — Ceylon tea, cashews, cinnamon and spices, handloom cloth, and Sri Lankan porcelain.
- Galle Face Green — sunset, and the whole city out walking along the sea.
- Overnight in Colombo.
Colombo
- Dhuha at The Red Mosque — red and white candy-striped, in the middle of Pettah. Climb to the roof for the city below.
- Pettah markets — loud with spice and colour.
- Malay Community Village — at Slave Island, where descendants of Malay families brought here generations ago still keep the language and the cooking.
- Ash-Shifaa Home (optional) — an hour with the children at a home for children with special needs, if your group would like to.
- Overnight in Colombo.
Colombo — home
- Lotus Tower — a photo stop at the tallest structure in South Asia.
- Departure — transfer to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.

Every visitor to Sri Lanka needs an ETA, apply for online before you travel on your own.
August to November is the dry season on the south and west coast — warm, bright and good for the beach. Bring something light and modest, and a shawl for the mosques.
Singapore to Colombo is about four hours direct. We are happy to book your flights with the tour, provide us the dates to check the prices.
Families, a few couples travelling together, or a group of friends. The driving days are gentle and the walking is easy, so it works for older parents too. Minimum two people.

All cancellations due to unforeseen events — such as death or serious illness — are subject to the terms and conditions of the main providers, such as airline companies.
Supporting documents must be submitted to the company as proof of cancellation.
The company acts as a representative of the airline. Refunds are subject to the terms and conditions of the airline provider, and administrative fees will be applied.
You are strongly encouraged to purchase personal travel insurance.
